New issue of CC: Magazine features alumni who work with assistance animals

Stories about alumni who work with assistance animals are the centerpiece of the Fall 2012 issue of CC: Magazine, the College's alumni magazine. Jennifer Evans '06 trains monkeys to assist disabled individuals; Robert Porter '79 runs an organization that teaches military veterans with PTSD to train service dogs for other veterans; and Laura Brown Moya '07 and Lucy Helvenston Caskey '94 work for therapeutic riding programs that offer horse-related activities for people with physical, emotional and developmental disabilities.

The fall issue also features new College initiatives: an academic resource center that will ensure all students reach their highest potential, and a LinkedIn group to enhance alumni and student networking. Profiles of interior designer Joe Lucas '95 and radio host Sam Seder '88 and a recap of Reunion 2012 round out the issue.

CC: Magazine has been mailed to more than 25,000 alumni and parents around the country and the world. Most of the stories -- and the Fall 2012 online exclusives -- are on the magazine website.
