What's next?

1. Confirm your place at Conn.

When you make your deposit, you’ll get access to your Conn account and officially become a Camel! Visit your applicant status portal for instructions.

2. Create your Conn account.

After you make your deposit, watch for an email from Camel Account with the subject line “Your Connecticut College Account.” It includes instructions to set up your Conn email account. You may not get many emails to that account right away, but you will beginning in early May! When you activate your account, you'll have access to CamelWeb, our intranet, which may offer some resources and information you find helpful.

3. Meet your fellow Camels and ask your questions!

Your decision letter includes a link to join the Class of 2029 GroupMe, where you can ask questions of current Camels, meet the other members of your class and get updates from Conn.

4. Follow @ConnColl2029 on Instagram.

Another great way to get to know your fellow 2029 Camels. Submit your photos and bios to post!

5. Join us for some special events!

We know you're ready to learn everything you can about Conn, so we've planned the following events just for the Class of 2029. (You can also find a full list of events on this page with direct links to register for them.) All times listed are Eastern unless noted.

• Welcome and What’s Next, Monday, Dec. 16, 7 p.m. For Early Decision I Camels in the Class of 2029! An informal online chat with Dean of First-Year Students Emily Morash and Associate Dean of Campus Life Geoff Norbert. They’ll walk you through the timeline to matriculation and share a bit about what to expect during your first year at Conn. Plus they’ll answer any questions you have! The link to register is in an email you received shortly after you received word you were admitted. Thanks to everyone who attended! A link to the recording of this event is in the Class of 2029 chat. We'll host another Welcome and What's Next session in April (see below).
• Camel Days, Monday, April 21 and Monday, April 28. Camel Days will give students admitted to the Class of 2029 the opportunity to tour the campus; meet your classmates, professors and current students; become more familiar with your home for the next four years; and have fun! Learn more.
• Camel for a Day, March 27-April 30. If you can’t make it to a Camel Day, you can be a Camel for a Day. We'll create a personalized visit just for you: You can take a campus tour, attend a class, eat lunch with a current student, meet with an admission counselor, visit with a representative from Financial Aid Services and more. Visit this page to see your options and register!
• Coffee with a Camel, multiple dates. Our popular (and virtual) Coffee with a Camel series now includes sessions just for the Class of 2029! Grab a beverage and talk to current students with other members of your class on April 10 at 7 p.m.; April 14 at 5 p.m.; April 24 at 7 p.m.; April 28 at 5 p.m.; and May 8 at 7 p.m. There's also Coffee with a Camel Out West, for Class of 2029 students who live west of the Mississippi, on April 17 at 5 p.m. If you join us for Coffee with a Camel, you'll receive a coupon to use at The Coffee Closet when you visit campus! Click here to see all your Coffee with a Camel options and register.
• Residential Life: Housing and Dining at Conn, Wednesday, April 2, 7 p.m. A virtual opportunity to learn all about the residential experience. Hear from current students and Residential Life staff about what it’s like to live in our residence halls, dine on campus and enjoy life as Camel! Thanks to all the Camels who attended! • Connections: Conn’s Core Curriculum, Wednesday, April 9, 7 p.m. A virtual opportunity to hear from Dean of the College Erika Smith and several current students about how the Connections curriculum will help you connect your curiosity to academic opportunities and rewarding career possibilities. If you missed this webinar, watch for a recording to be released in the Class of 2029 chat.
• Academic Success and Support at Conn, Wednesday, April 16, 7 p.m. A virtual opportunity to hear directly from some of our special academic support and success programs. Students and staff from our Academic Resource Center, Student Accessibility Services and the Hale Center for Career Development will discuss the many ways Conn supports your academic success!  The recording of this webinar will be released in the chat and in next week's Divine Digest.
• Welcome and What’s Next, Wednesday, April 23, 7:30 p.m. An informal online chat with Dean of First-Year Students Emily Morash and Associate Dean of Campus Life Geoff Norbert. They’ll walk you through the timeline to matriculation and share a bit about what to expect your first year at Conn. Plus they’ll answer any questions you have! Register here.
• They may not be reserved only for the Class of 2029, but we offer several opportunities for you to see campus, learn more about Conn and meet other students. Find them here!

6. Try out our new chatform!

That's an expedited way to say "chat platform." We're nothing if not expeditious. Camels are quite speedy, traveling up to 40 miles per hour. Dromedaries like us can maintain that speed for up to an hour, while Bactrians can do it only in short bursts. Now where were we? Oh, right. We're expeditious. If you have a question for a current student and don't want to wait until you're on campus or in Coffee with a Camel, try our new chat, Meet the Camels!

7. Watch for information in May about The Camel Experience.

The Camel Experience is our online pre-orientation program for incoming students. It's a super-organized place—complete with a checklist—to find forms, training and other tasks you'll complete before you arrive on campus. And it will provide information you'll want on housing, first-year seminars and more. By taking care of these necessities before you arrive, you'll have more time during Welcome Weekend—our in-person orientation—to bond with your fellow 2029 Camels!

8. Check out our pre-orientation programs.

We'll host four different pre-orientation programs for 2029 Camels who want to learn about specific resources and opportunities. Read all about the programs we offer.

9.  Plan to attend Welcome Weekend.

This is our in-person, on-campus orientation and it's actually longer than a weekend! For the divine Class of 2029, it takes place Aug. 20-25, 2025. (Students attending pre-orientation programs will arrive in the days before Welcome Weekend.) A detailed schedule will be available in the summer!
